Disgruntled Korean War vet Walt Kowalski sets out to reform his neighbor, a young Hmong teenager, who tried to steal Kowalski's prized possession: his 1972 Gran Torino.
Clint Eastwood has always been a great actor, and even though it may be near the end of his career I have to say he does not disappoint with Gran Torino. He is at the top of his game with his performance in Gran Torino and carries the whole movie. Even though he does not really have a supporting cast with much acting skills, in a way that makes the movie better. He starts off as a tough, quiet, racist, but as the movie progresses his character slowly opens up and you see why he is how he is and start to understand him better.
It is hard to find any flaws within Gran Torino and it is 1 of the top movies of the year. There is a lot of realism to the movie, especially if you have known a war vet or lived in an area similar to where the movie takes place. They do exaggerate some things, but it keeps you hooked to the movie and goes well with the realism. Gran Torino is definitely a movie everyone should watch because it offers a lot.
