Maxwell Smart, Agent 86 for CONTROL, battles the forces of KAOS with the more-competent Agent 99 at his side.

Having never seen the TV show or knowing nothing about Get Smart I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I wanted to check it out since I'm a Steve Carell fan. Get Smart brings the feel of a James Bond movie with a lot of humor. It was pretty funny, but some of the jokes were hit and miss overall. Steve Carell was pretty funny in it and he brought some of his charm to the character. The plot was decent, but it is a pretty standard super agent plot with a few predictable twists.

Needless to say, Get Smart was good, but not great. You might not find yourself laughing non-stop at the movie, but you should get a few laughs and at least be entertained. I'd recommend checking it out as most people will probably like it.

My Score: 7/10
IMDB Rating: 7.3/10 (19,789 votes)

This movie suprised me. I thought it was going to suck but it was better than I expected. I know a sequel will be coming eventually. It was left open-ended and we all know what that means hehe. :2thumbsup:

I was also pleasantly surprised by this film even though I can watch just about Anne Hathaway in it. I want to marry her. Not sure about a sequel though. Maybe they could get someone funny to help keep the next one fresh.

This movie is hilarious, I laughed so hard (but not as much as Pineapple Express or Tropic Thunder). I really enjoyed it and this is coming from someone who saw it 3 times in theaters and a 4th time at my home xD I'm not saying it was one of the BEST comedies this year, but it was really amusing and entertaining. :]

My Score: 9/10 :2thumbsup:

I also have never seen any of the Get Smart TV show and it seems that those who have are dissapointed with this movie.

I went into it expecting something goofy and not too serious and I wasn't dissapointed, this movie was awesome and I think what made it work even more was that everything was done realisticly, not like mr scrooge or mr bean, Max was a straight shot but a little 'out of the know' sometimes. It made for a very relatable character.

Funny, but somehow it misses the mark for me. You just can't replace the old Maxwell Smart. 5/10
